No they don't have unlimited meals. But how big there serving would be enough for you already.
Never had an issue with tipping all these years (always did the standard option 1.) I suggest you make a complaint with management..something like this shouldn't be allowed to happen!
Yes
Based on my own experience yes they required you to give tip, especially when you are group, they charge us $15 dollars for the tip and that is too expensive, they included that tip in our bill and they named it “extrameat” I don’t know why they didn’t name it as “tip” that’s why we complained about it and they told us that “extrameat” is a tip. Maybe, if we didn’t notice this we give another extra tip. So if you are going to eat here make sure to double check your receipt don’t rush to leave. The service is not that good. Some staffs are not approachable. This is a honest feedback. Anyways we experienced this in finch branch
No. Washroom at downstairs.
Good place to experience korean food with good staff and reasonable price
I have no idea how Nakwon has 3 stars. Been coming here since college days and time after time it's been A1. Gamjatang and their katsu is bomb. Prices are great. AMEX not accepted.
The food is delicious, cooking your own meal is a wonderful experience.
Favourite place for Beef Bulgogi in Hot Pot. Duk Boki, Ramyun and side dishes are yum as well!
Decent Ķorean BBQ restaurant; decor is a bit dated and basic. The food is delicious and the private rooms allow for a cozy setting for a larger group of up to 5 diners.
Great, hot and spicy food. I had one of the soups and was filled nicely afterwards. The waitress was responsive but it took too long to get the bill.
If you want to eat Korean food, this is the place to go. They have a wide variety of food & quite filling too.
Great selection of food! Service is usually fast. Love the large portions of side dishes <3
Recommend you guys to try their pork bone hot pot.
What a delicious 😋 treat this bibimbap nakwonrestaurant at Finch and Yonge sizzling hot @foodsonjami
This place never fails to disappoint! I’ve been coming to this spot for years. The staff is very friendly and accommodating! We really appreciate the fact that they allow us to modify dishes in their menu (to be vegan) with no extra charges or issues!
This place is very close to Finch TTC station and in the heart of lots of other places to eat and hang out!We ordered the ginseng chicken soup which was very good! It had tons of ginseng flavours in rich chicken broth with a whole chicken stuffed with sticky rice! It's a great dish to order and share! The side dishes were good as well, and as always at Korean places, refillable. We also ordered the grilled mackerel which was really good as well! It was cooked just right, not too dry, with the juiciness in tact!Overall, I'd recommend coming here!
This place is my favorite restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to that place. when I want to go to a good lunch, this restaurant comes immediately to my head. exeptionalgorgeous and varied food and a large list of dishes.trained team, and pleasant atmosphere. And very important, the price is affordable. I recommend this restaurant with no doubt.
I love the food. Even though the staff was rude and forcing us to give a 10% minmn tip.. We still love going here coz I love their korean version of everything.
Been ordering takeout from here a lot for the past couple of months. Always comes with lots of appetizers 😃
worse and worse!very disappoint soup with only a little amount!
It's Alright - A little overpriced for the quality of food
This becomes my regular place for a late lunch. Good food and reasonable service.
The food is good, but the experience with one rude waitress makes me rate the place with one star. Actually, it is a 3-4 star place, so this 1 star is for the waitress.
Located on the busy street of Yonge and Finch, a 30 seconds walk from TTC and parking at the rear (behind Shoppers drug mart). Despite the slight price increase on their meals, it is still one of the best places to get Korean dishes compared to the other Korean restaurants around here. (You get around 7 unlimited side dishes and meals start at $9.99 for dinner). Ive been coming here for almost a decade and the food is always hearty and tasty. If you are unsure what to order, you cant go wrong with their Gamjatang!Though this restaurant isn't 24/7 like Owl, they do open until 1am-2am for midnight snackers.
The dish I ordered was very good (had too many onions but was 5/5 otherwise). The bibimbap someone else ordered at my table did not have much taste or flavour. Side dishes were good. Service was a tad on the slow side. Also found it a bit pricer on average.
Not all dishes are equally good, they seemed to make standard dishes really well. They don't accept card for bill under 20$. Friendly and quick staff. Price is xoxo. Beef is good, ribs are little bit hard to chew. A lot of food and good quality overall.
Food is ok quiet pricey though
The only thing tastes good here is the gamjatang and some of the side dishes. Service is awful. The waitresses don't really serve except giving water and food. They don't even give a smile to you when they talk to you. No matter how friendly we call upon them they just show their apathetical faces to us. Usually they take more than 30 minutes to response to our request, after we calling them for dozens of time. Sometimes they even ignore us. This is not what service should be. A waitress is not meant to behave in this way. It is so disappointing.
The food was good and the side dishes are ok. It was a long wait for our food and even our water was not served right away. Also, I just did not like how the staff demanded 10% tip. I believe that tipping is optional but asking for tip is just wrong.
What I can say for sure is, they give you A LOT OF side dishes. Service is speedy, price is cheap. The food overall is pretty good. Haven’t tried a dish yet that I did not enjoy. Although some of the dishes like the grilled mackerel could do with some fine tuning. The grilled mackerel is overcooked so it is dry. The gamjatang is a bit too sweet as I would prefer a more savoury soup. The fish cake side dish may be a little frozen and the glass noodle needs to be cooked through and made sure the noodles separated as there were at times major clumping resulting in raw noodles. The potato side dish was by far the best I have tasted, if it was an appetizer I would get it every time.
My local spot since I moved into the neighbourhood two years ago. The staff there always make me feel like family and the food always hits the spot. My absolute favourite place to go when I’m craving Korean food and the place I always bring my friends and family when they’re in the area. 💓
The food here is good and delicious. One of the good food I recommend is Ga Ja Tang - Affordable soup with 3 big bones. If there are more than three people in your group, order this hot pot which will warm you up in the winter. The chicken with cheese is also delicious ( I forget the name but I leave the photos below here) Bibimbap is so so, not too special. It would be great if add in more soy sauce. When you dine-in, you could eat as much as kimchi and other stuff you like. The menu is not as many as I expect. The staffs are friendly. Everytime I would like to eat Korean food , I always choose this restaurant. Highly recommend!
Been coming here for years for bulgogi. Real like this place, great food and you get a lot for what you pay. Can get super busy at times, so it’s better to come not at a peak time.
I really like coming to this restaurant. The food is always good and I always end up super full.
Good food and good service.
Very good food and lunch specials (weekdays only). Their pork bone soup is one of the best in terms of flavour and portion size (so large!). Lots of side dishes too and even have table top cooking, with some good quality meat. Definitely recommend this place even in a sea of Korean restaurants around the area.
One of the best pork bone soup. Their donkatsu was really good too. Refillable sides and always friendly servers. Can't fo wrong here.
I’ve been coming here for 3-4 years and I love it! The place is always clean and the waiters are always friendly no matter how much I bother them. They do have there good days and bad days but there always welcoming. The food is amazing here and I tried almost everything on the menu and I love it! I wish I had more pictures to share but it seems like I enjoy the time there off my phone:)
Good food and cheap
My cousin and I came here for Korean BBQ. Although it wasn't AYCE, it wasn't out of the way. We got two dishes, Beef sirloin ($20) and Beef Ribs ($35). We were concerned about how much meat we would get since it would come up to the amount of an AYCE place, but surprisingly, it comes not only with free rice and stew, but about 10 other side dishes....which we didn't really eat, but at least the price was a bit more understandable. The waitresses were quick, kind, and helpful as well. The set up of the grill is easy to access (in comparison to Korean Grill House), and I also like the grill itself as it allows my meat to cook without getting any burnt bits or charcoal on the meat since the fire can't really touch the food. Very tasty, different marinade than other places, but pleasant. I also like how you get your own little booth for Korean BBQ. So cute! I would certainly come back here if I was craving Kbbq!
Our go to korean resto! Always good!
This place has the best pork bone soup at Yonge and Finch. The way they prepare and spice their dish is strangely yet pleasantly different from most other Korean restaurants.Service is very fast and price is reasonable. Definitely a top 5 Korean restaurant in the area.
Nice dishes but usually have to wait
Good foods, a little bit pricey for some of their foods. There's just this one worker (a guy) a little bit lazy and demands for a tip.
Open till late, decent prices for food, pretty average Korean food (has a good size menu for a variety, whether it's soups, rice or table cooking).
Slow service and they don’t provide side dishes until the main dish comes so I was sitting there for 20 mins with empty table and quantity is definitely smaller than other Korean restaurants.
Ate well 4 pinays and 1 big Asian $106 rarely reasonable
It can get quite busy at times but it's worth the wait. The good isn't expensive and it's quite delicious. You also get free starters, that's always a plus right? I'd recommend going here if you have a craving for Korean food.
For me good for a quick and easy bite of Korean! Yum!
The food is OK given the price, I would recommend it if you are a working person and looking for a place for a quick lunch. The noodles taste like the Korean instant noodles at the grocery store, but you can add seafood/beef/veggie to it, according to your liking.
Not all of the food here are great but we do enjoy Bosam and goat soup (I forgot the name). The place is quite busy during dinner and late night. As a result, customer service is kinda behind and waiting time for food is longer than other restaurants nearby.
Pretty good food with quick service. For a late night meal it's one of my favorite spots in the area.
I constantly stop purchasing some food here. I liked the prompt customer service and well prepared food. Highly recommended.
I've had Korean food all over Toronto, and this place has the best Gamjatang in the city hands down. I find that their Ban Chan is best in the area as well. The service is usually quick and friendly, but this can change if it is very busy. Overall, I've had very positive experiences here.
